In a significant stride towards the expansion and enhancement of maritime infrastructure, the Adani Vizhinjam Port Private Limited (AVPPL), a subsidiary of Adani Ports And Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ), had disclosed that a set of 12 cantilever rail-mounted gantry (CRMG) cranes and 4 Rail Mounted Quay Cranes (RMQCs) will constitute the first shipment to arrive at the port.

An insider familiar with the proceedings has unveiled that the vessel ZHEN HUA 15, a Semi-Submersible Heavy Lift Carrier owned by ZHEN HUA SHIPPING (HONG KONG) CO LTD and operated by Shanghai Zhenhua Shipping Co Ltd, has been assigned for the significant transport task to Vizhinjam port site in South India.

As the maritime community watches with anticipation, the imminent delivery of these cutting-edge CRMG cranes and RMQCs is an optimistic harbinger of the dynamic future that awaits the Vizhinjam transshipment port. With its potential to reshape trade dynamics, streamline operations, and enhance efficiency, this endeavour holds the promise of a brighter, more connected future for the maritime sector and the region as a whole.
